Terms & Conditions
If a permit is needed, it must be organised before delivery by Evergreen Skip Hire together with your local council. The permit fee will be added to the total hire charge. When booking, the hirer must confirm whether the skip will be placed on or off the public highway.
The standard hire duration is 14 days unless a longer period is agreed at the time of booking. Any extension requested after delivery must be approved by Evergreen Skip Hire and may incur extra charges.
Only authorised Evergreen Skip Hire drivers are permitted to move or collect company skips. If a driver arrives unexpectedly and the hirer is unsure of their identity or legitimacy, the hirer must contact Evergreen Skip Hire for confirmation before allowing the skip to be moved.
The hirer must ensure clear and safe access for both the delivery and collection of the skip. If our driver is unable to access the site, a return visit may be charged.
Once delivered, the skip becomes the responsibility of the hirer. Any damage, loss, or misuse occurring while in the hirer’s care must be fully compensated by the hirer.
Evergreen Skip Hire accepts no liability for damage to property or persons if the hirer instructs the driver to leave the public highway to place the skip in a specific location. Any damage to driveways, surfaces, or property resulting from off-road placement is entirely at the hirer’s risk, and no compensation will be sought from Evergreen Skip Hire.
Fires must not be lit inside the skip. Any fire-related damage will be charged to the hirer.
Evergreen Skip Hire may refuse collection if restricted materials are found inside the skip. Additional hire charges may apply if the skip remains onsite beyond the agreed hire period until the restricted items are removed.
The hirer must ensure the skip is only filled to the “Level Fill” line. Overfilled skips may be refused for collection and may incur extra hire charges for extended onsite time. A surcharge of £54 + VAT will apply if the skip is not level-filled.
Any fly-tipping fines issued by the local authority for waste placed on the highway outside the skip will be the hirer’s responsibility, not Evergreen Skip Hire’s.
It is the hirer’s responsibility to choose the correct skip size. If a replacement skip is required due to the wrong size being ordered, an additional charge may apply for the driver to return.
Certain items are restricted and may result in extra fees if placed in the skip. Restricted items include:
